The problem:
There are motorcycle runs put on by people who are not bikers and have never road a motorcycle in their life. It appears that every one is on the bandwagon trying to get our biker dollars. In only 10 minutes on the internet, this is what we found. This is not a joke, these people are putting on runs - Leroy’s Hot Stuff, High School Booster Club, Food Mart, Starbucks, a Bank, Pregnancy Center, and our favorite is the Funeral home. We truly believe that they all do a great job at raising funds for charity, and we commend them for their work. But as bikers, we do not want to go to a party put on by a pregnancy center, banker or a Booster club.
The solution:
We saw a need to do something more in a charity ride, so we built a team of bikers from motorcycle clubs to the rider next door. We come together once a year and use our resources to do a charity motorcycle event like no other. This is not a club thing or a Harley thing; this is a biker thing and represents all bikers. We raise money for a children’s charity and give 100% of the run proceeds to the charity. We pick the best locations in SE Michigan [BAR NONE] to hold this event. And this is two events for the price of one, a great ride and a one day Rally. The runs ride thru scenic country roads to Hell for a concert and a Rally, with Nationally Acclaimed custom bike builders, a full vendor infield with bike related merchandise galore and top notch entertainment. |
